Riduna Synopsis

Harriet grew up on the beautiful but isolated island of Riduna in the late nineteenth century, where the strict and traditional values upheld by the island's elders were forever challenged by the many strangers among them.

As Harriet's story gently and humorously wove through the lives of her close community, her feelings towards her childhood best friend and defender Edward changed from affection to a deeper love. The urgency of her emotions led to moments of forbidden passion, before Edward set sail to fulfil his dream to travel the world. While Harriet waited for Edward's return tragedy struck, so that even her wish to remain on the island that she loved so dearly was threatened.

As the journey of Harriet's life takes her further from her girlhood dreams and fantasies tragedy, poor communications and changing life expectations all play a role in their destiny.
